The end of September’s National Suicide Prevention Month offers a vital opportunity for us to reflect on the challenges we face and to champion our most precious resource: our people.

September also brings Construction Suicide Prevention Week, an annual event that illuminates a pressing issue: our construction workforce faces a significantly higher risk of suicide compared to the general population. Heartbreakingly, construction workers are about four to five times more likely to take their own lives than those in other professions. Behind these numbers are real lives, each affected by mental health struggles that urgently need our attention.

Understanding the Unique Challenges
