New Training Approach Focuses on Professional Development
Coming February 26 and 27, 2025!
Using feedback from Gerken team members, an internal group has been reimagining the company’s annual training approach. What used to involve dozens of sessions throughout March has evolved into a two-day, conference-style format emphasizing professional development.
Training will occur at the Hilton Garden Inn in Perrysburg on Wednesday, February 26, and Thursday, February 27, 2025.
Below is a schedule at a glance for each day. Note the following training session requirements for each employee type:

- All Employees = BLUE SESSIONS (4 TOTAL) and ANY WHITE SESSION (1 TOTAL)
- All Supervisors (anyone who manages direct reports) = BLUE SESSIONS (4 TOTAL) and RED SESSIONS (2 TOTAL)
- All Foremen = BLUE SESSIONS (4 TOTAL), RED SESSIONS (2 TOTAL), ORANGE SESSIONS (2 TOTAL)
- All Gerken Leasing Drivers = BLUE SESSIONS (4 TOTAL), ANY WHITE SESSION (1 TOTAL), and GREEN SESSIONS (2 TOTAL)
We are offering numerous additional training sessions and highly encourage you to attend any that interest you. If the schedule allows, please limit your attendance to one day.

Various vendors and departments will have booths for you to visit before, between, and after sessions. Booths include:
- Lighthouse – Employee Assistance Program
- Claridence Wealth – 401(k)
- Risk Strategies – Insurance through Gerken
- BOST Benefits – Supplemental Insurance
- YMCA
- HR Support – Assistance with making changes to personal information
- IT Support – Assistance with equipment issues (bring your company laptop, iPad, etc.)
- Payroll – Assistance with payroll-related questions
