Susan Zacharias, a billing clerk at Kuhlman Corporation, was looking for a way to honor her late mother’s memory. Recalling how her mom loved working on word-search puzzles, Sue decided to create and publish a puzzle book. Before she knew it, she had produced three books.

When a new coworker received a welcome package from the company, Sue noticed it included a coloring book. That gave her the idea to create a puzzle book for the construction industry.

Sue’s newly released book, Construction Word Search: Asphalt & Concrete, includes 85 search-and-find puzzles with over 1,700 search words based on common asphalt, quarry, and concrete terminology. There are two bonus puzzles for those wanting an extra challenge.

With experience as a writer, editor, and layout manager for the Ohio and National Genealogical Societies, Sue is well-versed in the publishing process. Over the course of six months, she carefully selected and organized the words in Construction Word Search.

Sue encounters a lot of industry terminology in her role as a billing clerk. She’s already contemplating puzzle books on masonry, building materials, and trucking.
