M&R Ready Mix, Inc.’s Pettisville location recently hosted juniors and seniors from Pettisville High School. Students from agriculture classes taught by Whitney Short participated in a day of learning about concrete.

Participants received hands-on education throughout the day. Topics included receiving orders, mixing concrete, loading mixer trucks, pouring mix, sampling plastic properties, and performing slump tests.

Presenters included M&R’s Quality Control Manager, Andrew Marihugh, and Director of Operations, Ryan Saunders, with assistance from Noah Blankenship. Special guest Wayne Moening from Ohio Concrete was also on hand.
