Each year, Flexible Pavements of Ohio (FPO) recognizes paving projects demonstrating exceptional construction quality. The awards represent various pavement applications, from Ohio’s high-traffic interstate system to rural roads, airport runways, and commercial parking facilities.

The Gerken Companies received two 2023 Quality Awards at FPO’s recent Ohio Asphalt Paving Conference in Columbus.

Bluffton Paving, Inc. won an award for its U.S. Route 30 resurfacing project from State Route 235 to U.S. Route 68 in Hancock County. The undertaking was for the Ohio Department of Transportation District 1.

Gerken Paving, Inc. received an award for resurfacing State Route 4 from Crawford Co. to Twp. Rd. 106 in Seneca County. Gerken Paving performed the work for the Ohio Department of Transportation District 2.
