Spanning an impressive 8.11 miles between Delphos and Spencerville in Allen County, this project includes a 0.2-mile overlap with State Route 81 and is utilizing the “echelon paving” method—a technique designed to enhance road longevity and reduce maintenance needs. What is Echelon Paving? Echelon paving is a cutting-edge method that allows for the simultaneous paving of adjacent lanes. By deploying two pavers at once, crews can work on both sides of the road.
