The Gerken Companies is proud to partner with Black Swamp Football to present the Gerken ROCK-SOLID PERFORMANCE of the Week Award to an area high school football team whose latest game-day efforts showed extraordinary effort.
Game 5
The Minster Wildcats achieved a significant victory over the Coldwater Cavaliers on September 19, 2026, winning 24-21. This triumph marked Minster’s first win over the Cavaliers in a decade, highlighting the importance of the matchup for the Wildcats. The game was tightly contested, with Coldwater leading late into the fourth quarter before Minster made a crucial comeback. Carson Kaylor’s four-yard touchdown run with just over five minutes remaining clinched the victory for Minster, showcasing the resilience and determination of the team.
Key performances in the game included Tyler Bergman, who not only scored a 62-yard rushing touchdown but also returned a fumble 40 yards for another score. Kaylor himself also had a solid outing, completing nine of 14 passes for 124 yards along with his game-winning touchdown. The victory was a testament to Minster’s ability to perform under pressure and earned the Wildcats Black Swamp Football’s “Rock-Solid Performance of the Week” award, presented by The Gerken Companies.
