CPR and First Aid Training 2024 Each January, The Gerken Companies conducts CPR and First Aid training classes for employees in compliance with Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and Mine Safety and Health Administration (MSHA) requirements. In addition, Gerken offers voluntary, no-cost programs for employees wishing to learn those vital life-saving measures to protect family and friends. Safety team members Jared Clum and Ryan Sager have facilitated the programming for the past two years. They are passionate about preparing coworkers for health emergencies at work and home. In January 2024, they certified 96 individuals. “Our goal is to always have at least two certified first responders at each Gerken facility or job site,” explains Jared. “And this program underscores Gerken’s commitment to providing useful training with the potential for real impact at work and home.”
